Overview

Rural fencing that works

At Fencemen, rural fencing is what we do best. We’ve built farm fences across the Franklin district for many years, from lifestyle blocks to large farms.

Whether you’re fencing a new boundary, replacing a tired old run, or subdividing a lifestyle block into paddocks, we’ll walk the line with you first and tell you honestly what it needs.

What we build
Wire & batten

Wire and batten fencing is tough, cost-effective, and handles stock pressure well. We use high-tensile wire and high quality treated timber posts. Fencing can be set up as a standard stock fence or upgraded with netting for sheep or electric wires. If you need a fence that works hard and doesn’t need constant maintenance, this is it.

Post & rail

Post and rail fencing gives a clean, traditional look that suits lifestyle blocks, property entrances, horse paddocks, and boundary lines where appearance matters. We build post and rail fences using quality NZ timber.

Electric fencing

Electric fencing is one of the most flexible. We install everything from simple hot-wire additions on existing fences to full permanent electric systems. It’s particularly useful for rotational grazing systems, protecting riparian areas, or supplementing main fences in high-pressure areas.

Common questions

How long does a paddock fence take?

This depends on the size of the job, once the quote has been accepted, we’ll give you a start date, and we start when we say we will.

Do you supply the materials?

Yes — we supply and install. We have good supply lines for quality materials and can source everything needed for your job. You don’t need to organise anything separately.
